What Makes A Person Intelligent?

Imagine a kid entering a kindergarden and pampered by his teachers during initial days to stay back leaving his family behind. First day will be a worst nightmare for him believing things to go awry from the normal routine. Will this stop his parents from sending him back everyday to the same place initially taking time to stay outside unless the child is accustomed?

Gradually the child adapts to change and embraces the environment evolving itself and learning to adapt the obstacles using intelligence, memory and the power of reasoning. Every child has this in built quality of asking questions that are beyond its compatibility, eventually challenging his mentors with innovations suitable for the age.Creating new connections ,building bridges for perception, ensuring healthy verbal communication and encouragement goes a long way in accomplishing goals for the teaching faculty.

Yet why do we observe some children are extremely bright beyond their biological age while others are average? Although mental age is determined by DNA and acts like coding for crazy human behaviours. At the same time environment and upbringing plays a vital role in  nurturing healthy offsprings . As we all know that babies are constantly absorbing our speech, and their brains are assimilating the pieces together to produce later. This develops their consciuosness, later on deciphering  in complex and verbal languages.

We are the Universe itself in the physical form to learn, observe and explore.Intelligence lies in all of us, we only have to explore its possibilities.David Wechsler  proposed one of the simplest and widely accepted definitions of Intelligence; "Intelligence is the capacity to understand the world and the resourcefulness to cope with its challenges."

Another panel of experts defined it as- Intelligence refers to an individuals ability to understand complex ideas, to adapt effectively to the environment, to learn from experience, to engage in various forms of reasoning, to overcome obstacles by careful thought.

Putting into  simple words we can say "Intelligence is the ability to understand the problem and find a solution to that problem." Hence a person  can be termed as intelligent if he/she is able to solve the real life problems in the world easily or avoid such problems from triggering in the first place.

However you can identify an intelligent person easily by his ability to understand himself, people around him ,the world and its arising problems so accurately that he tackles them skillfully and leads a happy and successful life  in this world.

Leaving with the last quote to ponder with you,

"The problem with this world is that intelligent people are full of doubts , while the stupid ones are full of confidence,"
